Francis Mawson Rattenbury – the architect

No other architect has ever done more for a city than Francis Rattenbury did for Victoria, Canada. First he designed its signature buildings. Then he provided the raciest scandal of the 1920s, leaving his wife for a younger woman. Finally, he took his new wife to England, where he became the victim of the most celebrated British homicide of the 1930s. Rattenbury is remembered as British Columbia’s foremost architect for buildings that dominate Victoria’s inner harbour and beyond.

This 35 minute documentary will take the viewer through the life and times of Francis Rattenbury and an in-depth look at some of his finest works.
